Greed is the pain point of all life on earth, and humility is the antidote.
How does greed manifest? It shows up in every detail of business and social life, from selfishly taking time and resources away from others, to demanding more money than what is within reason, to coveting what others have or through comparisons. It is the force behind all conflict, resentment, and even fear.
So what does the antidote, this humility, look like? It presents as connection, as community, and as a sincere happiness through these bonds. It is love in its truest form, which, as the apostle wrote, is patient, kind, peaceful, forgiving, and full of hope; and most of all, it protects against all corruption.
It does this by continually remembering what truly matters in this world, which is our common humanity and our basic and inherent need to come together and collaborate to build and thrive. Humility does not take disappointment personally, and it always remembers that truth is what sets us free. That is enough to move past all heartache. Humility always perseveres, ready to be realized.
